Would he be the new head coach at Notre Dame?

Hard to believe he wouldn't be. He was there for 4 seasons, the last 3 as DC. His successor has only been there this year.

I think its very likely. Not absolute, but probably an 80% likelihood.

The players really seem to love his replacement and lobbied for him to get the HC job.

Granted, this is sort of like wondering if Bear Bryant would have ever gotten the HC job at Vandy if he had hung around.

Well.... we could have had Bill Parcells and Coach K but ended up with Fred Pancoast and Richard Schmidt.

Makes you wonder who was passed over to get Bryce Drew.***

***VU fun factoid... Drew's longest losing streak here: 20 games; VBK's longest losing streak here: 4 games

CCL as toll booth operator 20 years from now: [Brando style] "I coulda bin the coach of Notre Dame!"

Nah. He can be a success in the business world at least, like Pancoast.

But if CCL wins 8 games year after next, are we allowed to bring up the late 2021 negative posts? :?:
