Johnson gave the school four great seasons and will get his Vanderbilt degree next spring. He was a leader on and off the field for four years. No right-thinking Vandy fan should begrudge him anything for playing somewhere else for one year while he pursues a masters'.

Leaving is a good idea; he can probably land somewhere where he might get better views from NFL scouts in a winning situation. The same stats on a winning team just look better. If the NFL doesn't work he can probably get a useful masters degree from somewhere. Now if he ends up transferring to Whozit State, I'll change my tune.
