Well… LOVE our uniforms at least. Best combo since the xCJF era (IMHO). Very sharp.
PS Florida uniforms very nice too.

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida thread
First play is a good pass - a sure thing - to Cam Johnson. 8 yards. Good call.
Then run right up the middle for -1. And a throw away from the pocket.
Do we not know how to run anything but up the middle?
We need two yards and have two plays to do it. Run - but NOT always up the middle. Man, I am tired of seeing the same lack of any creativity. Keeping the ball for a big firstdown would have been nice - right after the coach is quoted as saying the start was critical.

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida thread
There must an unknown codicil that requires Vandy OC’s to run the ball repeatedly up the middle…

I was saying "please don't run up the middle" before that playroanoke wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 11:09 am First play is a good pass - a sure thing - to Cam Johnson. 8 yards. Good call.

I don't understand our offensive philosophy at all.
And that first Florida drive is exhibit A for our lack of talent on defense.

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida thread
Deja vu. But Griffin gets the first down with individual effort on third down. Up the middle twice after gaining seven on first down.
The first down calls have been good. I guess that's something.

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida thread
A dropped 3rd down conversion from arguably our best WR. and then a shanked punt. Why are we so bad starting every game...

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida thread
My goodness. Shephard drops a first down. Smith shanks a punt less than ten yards.
Seals third down pass was a laser. Nice aggressive throw.
Truth - Florida is giving us more cushion than I expected. We have some opportunities on the quick throw scheme. Again, after a six yard throw on first. We had to waste one play up the middle. I'll shut up about it if we would just give the ball once to the jet sweep decoy. Even if he gets stopped it will loosen the middle up a little.
We are getting less than one yard per run up the middle but it is all we are willing to do.

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida thread
We also kept our streak alive of letting up a TD on the opponent's first possession. We literally spot teams 2 TDs in the first 2 drives every game

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida thread
We are so SLOW ! I truly feel for CCL, I can't see a single position except perhaps receiver where we are remotely close to SEC talent.
