They played lights out and earned the title. With that said.. Their fan base was very vocal and talked smack ad nauseam that if Vandy were to win an askerisk should be beside their name after the NC St forfeit put us in the finals. Some went as far to say it should called an illegitimate title. The game finished on a bad call at first and should have been reviewed. There should be an askerisk beside their name as winning a title with the game called off by umpires with 1 out remaining in the game.

Really - MUS's first ever NC deserves a huge asterisk next to it.
I mean they didn't even have to play the hottest team in the tourney - NC State due to highly dubious COVID protocols.
