Vanderbilt vs UConn Thread

It's Kumar Rocker day. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful night currently 71 degrees in Scottsdale.

CJ Rodriguez and Isaiah Thomas single to start the 1st off but Vandy leaves them stranded. Heading to the bottom of the 1st.

Huskies go three up three down with a pop up, 1-3 grounder and strikeout by Rocker to end the inning.

Heading to top of 2 Spencer Jones due up.

Could have been a big inning for the Huskies in the second after loading the bases with no outs.

Manage to hold them to one run.

CJ Rodriguez with a ripper down the third base line for his second hit of the night. Vandy leaves him stranded at third.

Rodriguez brought him home with a sacrifice fly to tie the game.

Spencer Jones got pegged to start it off. Harrison Ray and Carter Jones advanced runners with sac bunts.
Rodriguez was the biggest bat of the inning with a crushing single off the wall with the bases loaded that scored two runs.

Vandy's stinginess at the plate snagged another run off a bases loaded walk to make it 5-1 VU.

After a leadoff walk by Harrison Ray a double play helps the Huskies shut down the 'Dores in the 7th.
