Re: Auburn/UNC
NC needed a 4th pitcher to get out of the 1st. 13-0 now. Check out the box score-end of a half inning, every Auburn player but one has scored at least one run, and all but two have driven in at least one. This is nuts.
Told you earlier, Auburn scares me right now. We're 4 for 4 against them, but they are on some magical run.

Auburn is the perfect example of the team that gets hot in post-season. Their regular season was just so-so and the guys they were counting on to have big years, like Julien and Holland, didn't develop. Then their ace pitcher got hurt. Then suddenly, everybody is hitting and pitching well. They will definitely be scary if they make Omaha.

Usually you can't lose a game in the first inning, but it sure looks like UNC lost the game in the first inning. Wow!

Re: Auburn/UNC
Just checked the score a minute ago - 13 to ZIP Auburn in the 2nd.
UNC is one of the top ACC teams. Really shows you how poor that league is (and how good the SEC IS) when a middle of the pack SEC team is whipping them at their place.

Didn't a middle of the pack ACC team whip the best SEC team at their place Friday? And didn't another middle of the pack ACC team win at LSU?vandyambush wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 1:20 pm UNC is one of the top ACC teams. ACC is good. SEC is good. But it looks like Auburn is the better team today.

Looks like our side of the bracket in Omaha will be SEC heavy--VU, Louisville, Mississippi State, and Auburn. Hoover part deux.

Vandy won the series and FSU is playing CRAZY right now, pretty much an anomaly. ACC is usually Good, but not looking good in the postseason this year.Titans309fan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 1:29 pmDidn't a middle of the pack ACC team whip the best SEC team at their place Friday? Re: Auburn/UNC
After 4 innings, Auburn leads 13-3 over UNC.
Looking at the tickets punched to Omaha, there is one Big 10, one Big 12, two ACC, and two SEC. SEC will pick up one more later today (Arkansas vs. Ole Miss) and possibly another (if Auburn holds on as expected), giving the SEC 4 teams. However, if UNC were to make the comeback of the decade, the ACC and SEC would have three teams apiece in the CWS.

Re: Auburn/UNC
It's interesting that we not only played everyone in our CWS bracket at least once during the regular season, something I'm guessing rarely happens, but we also were undefeated against all three in six contests, beating Mississippi State's ace and SEC pitcher of the year Ethan Small and all of Auburn's weekend starters.AuricGoldfinger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 1:37 pm Looks like our side of the bracket in Omaha will be SEC heavy--VU, Louisville, Mississippi State, and Auburn.
