Do we want SEC teams in Omaha?
Auburn and North Carolina are tied 1-1
Arkansas and Ole Miss are tied 1-1 (so one of them is going)
Mississippi State is leading the series 1-0, but behind Stanford tonight
LSU is fighting to survive to a third game (tie game in 10th inning)
Part of me wants the SEC teams to advance for SEC pride, as well as the fact Vandy has beaten them all. The other part of me knows that the SEC may be the toughest competition, so the fewer teams, the better.
Just curious what the rest of you think.

I think I don't want too many SEC teams to survive. Yes we beat them in series throughout the year, but any of them can beat you once... and then we could be fighting for our lives sooner than we wish.

Duke just proved that anyone can beat you in one game. Let the best teams advance.

We want the best and I hope that means SEC teams since we are SEC champs. Besides we are familiar with them.

I want the worst competitive field possible. That happens to be SEC teams. Give me Ole MS and Auburn today.

If Auburn wins today, that means all three of the teams in our side of the bracket will have lost to us this year. Now, granted the MSU game was close, really close, but a win is a win.

I would prefer Auburn over North Carolina. We have beaten them 4 times this year.

Who cares. I believe that we can beat any of them. But any can beat us so we have to be good every day!

Absolutely. Auburn is playing good ball, but we handled them rather easily.Titans309fan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 9:06 am I would prefer Auburn over North Carolina. We have beaten them 4 times this year.

Re: Do we want SEC teams in Omaha?
I'd rather the better team win today and I think that's North Carolina.
Vandy, Louisville, and State are all Top 8 seeds and have won already. Today's winner plays State in game 1 so I want them to have a tough game just like we will with Louisville.
I think we have the best overall team so I'd just as soon play the best teams possible.
The other Omaha bracket is already much easier to navigate than is our bracket. Win our bracket and I'll feel really good about the finals against any of those teams regardless who wins between Arkansas and Ole Miss today.

Re: Do we want SEC teams in Omaha?
The only reason I'd like for 4 of the 8 teams to be SEC is because the national media will have a field day with it and really pump up the SEC which is fine with me. That just makes us the best of the best, which is a good position to be in.
