Arkansas is down 6-2, and that would make us the outright champions. We will still be the #1 seed in Hoover even if we lose tomorrow and Arky wins tonight and tomorrow.

Let's never, ever diminish the enormity of a regular season championship in such a dominant conference. I don't want to ever approach something like this as an entitlement. It's spectacular. I couldn't care less about baseball, but they're an easy program to support.

A great regular season and a fantastic achievement!

It is hard to win the regular season SEC championship in any sport for Vanderbilt and this is the fourth time for Corbin - what a great coach and great team. We will host and if all goes well will get to Omaha with this team and then guess what...

this team has been awesome and huge achievement. Can't wait for hoover and nashville for regional (and hopefully supers).

obviously dont want to mess with a good thing, right now, but would the team be better with Gonzalez at 3b, and martin at SS and ray on the bench. Maybe its not a good idea as it would be a step back defensively and certainly the lineup outside of Ray is raking right now. On a similar note, it seems like the lineup would benefit with Davis in LF (is he healthy?) and scott at 1b, at least against RHP.

Yes, this is a terrific accomplishment. Although it's not our ulimate goal, it faciltates the path to Omaha. We will almost surely be a 1,2, or 3 national seed, probably a 2. UCLA still has 2 games left with Washington, a .500'ish team. Once we get to Omaha (not a certainty, for sure, but I'm optimistic) all bets are off, and it is, as they say, a brand new season. FWIW at that point, UCLA and Vandy would probably be the favorites to win it all.

SEC champs! That always has a great ring to it when we can say it in regard to one of our teams. Congratulations to our baseball team, Coach Corbin, and our staff. Well done!
