FanGraphs has a great Mock Draft article up with good info on Vandy players and commits https://blogs.fangraphs.com/mock-draft-2-0/
Quite a bit of is speculates on Jack Leither's signability, among others. The best quote from the article "Vanderbilt already has seven players on our 2020 board and three more on our 2021 board, so they could end up with half of their scholarship roster in 2020 having top five round draft potential."

Re: Draft info
We lost 5-7 of them on multiple occasions. I want to say we lost our top 5 guys in this year's junior crop, and it was still a top 15 class with guys like Bleday, Fellows, Duvall. You never get them all, but Leither and another one or two of the top guys would have it back in the top 5.

Re: Draft info
I thought this was an interesting, if incomplete, take on what factors influence getting to the highest level in MLB. I’d like to think that CTC is building toward a point where the program gets past a tipping point and the higher level guys see their progression via VU as the better choice. There will always be limits but Corbs has done an amazing job pushing that ceiling up.

Re: Draft info
The good thing about Leiter...he doesn't need money as much as some other kids. Hard to tell a kid from a different background to "not take the money". Leiter (supposedly) has told teams he requires a "big number" to sign. If he comes to campus, he will have a legit shot at being the #1 overall pick in 3 years.

Re: Draft info
Another good thing is that he comes in polished because of his background. We get so many huge arms that take a couple years to find their command, and some never seem to find it. If we get Leiter to campus, I suspect he'll have the same sort of advanced feel as a freshman as Kyle Shurmur had on the football field.HopsLikeHolwerda wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 10:05 am The good thing about Leiter...he doesn't need money as much as some other kids.
