NCBWA (National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association) doesn't release its weekly poll until late Monday. The CBI Composite Poll doesn't come out until Tuesday.

Losing 2 of 3 will only move you down in the polls.

But since it was to a highly rated team on their field, we didn't drop much. In the CBI Composite Poll we dropped from 4 to 7.

It's funny that we moved up to No. 2 in the NCAA RPI after losing a series at Georgia. Had we won that series we'd probably be No. 1 right now. Winning road games against good teams helps your ranking a lot.

I think one of the TV announcers mentioned that VU was No. 1 in the RPI after the win Friday night and because of that Georgia's RPI rose despite the loss. I've never really understood what the RPI measures. I just know it's a measuring stick in the big three sports.
