Dansby has homer, walk-off single

Lt. Dans moved up to sixth in the lineup and responded with a solo homer and a walk-off single in the Braves 4-3 win over the Marlins. Through nine games, he's hitting .346 with three home runs and nine RBI.

That was a great hit to end the game today (though the Braves should have won it in the top of the 9th if not for a grooved fastball down the middle for the tying homer).

A few days ago, he hit his first major league opposite field homer, something he apparently has been working on this spring. His defense has always been solid, but it looks like he could be a real hitting threat this year.

He had a big night in Colorado with a two run triple and a sac fly in a 8-6 Braves win. One of the Braves announcers said "Anchor down, young man" after the triple.

Love it! Missed tonight's game due to the NCAA championship, but Dansby has been locked in all year. And yes, as another thread stated about the MLB Network's effusive praise for Corbin, Chip/Jeff and previously Chip/Joe also bring up Corbin and VU's college baseball success and reputation for producing major league talent, from time to time.
