That check swing "ball" was strike 3 on Schreck in the 1st inning. Maldo gets him on the next one!

A lot of heroes tonight. I will mention Austin had a rough night last night. He not only triggered the 8th inning rally, but made 3 huge plays in that inning. First, a lead-off hit. Second, a super-alert and speedy sprint to 3rd on TJ’s bloop bunt. He had to hold to make sure it wasn’t caught - and then sprint to 3rd safely. Finally, he tagged up on a bloop to shortstop. Another really heady play, because it looked like it would drop. Great catch by Arky - but he scored anyway. A very good job by RJ.

Easy to take all three plays for granted. Don’t - he was the catalyst of the inning that really turned this slump on its head. 8 run eighth! Who expected that?

I'm still a bit concerned over the foul ball that was called a HR. And reviewed and was clearly a foul ball. And was still ruled a HR.

In most conferences, a foul ball is not a home run.

And it wasn't like it was a tough review. It was CLEARLY foul. I wonder, seeing how long it took to "review" the play, if it was looked at at all.

I was at the game and had given up on the guys. I told my wife if they didn't score at least 3 runs in the eighth we were leaving. They woke up and proved that it ain't over until it's over. Hopefully it gives them confidence to win tomorrow. Go VandyBoys!!

Would love an explanation from the league office on what the reviewer saw. Yeah, I know...not holding my breath :?
