Re: Vanderbilt-Florida game thread
Once again, credit to the players for bringing it all to today's game. Coaches had a good plan. I didn't like our last drive where I feel we didn't even try for a first down to ice it ... too vanilla conservative on the up the gut runs, but hey, no real complaints. Gutsy play and great win! WELL DONE!

Good. D stepped up multiple times. But hey, no real complaints. Gutsy play and great win! WELL DONE!

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida game thread
There was absolutely no reason for the clock to stop with 2 seconds left after that complete pass, inbounds, short of the 1st down marker.

The ref called for the clock to stop. His bad...not the clock guy's fault.egbertsouse wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 2:35 pm There was absolutely no reason for the clock to stop with 2 seconds left after that complete pass, inbounds, short of the 1st down marker.

If we can beat UT and get bowl eligible that might be better than winning the power ball lotto

Re: Vanderbilt-Florida game thread
I hope that is reviewed. It is such a basic ref mistake. If something would have happened on that "last play" what would the refs have done???egbertsouse wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 2:35 pm There was absolutely no reason for the clock to stop with 2 seconds left after that complete pass, inbounds, short of the 1st down marker.

Played to win. Poor choice on the late interception, bogus and inexplicable call on the extra play- no doubt league office will hear about that one. But overall, the team knows that they are capable against anyone. Another big step forward.
Bravo!

The ref who was right next to the completion was clearly signaling for the clock to keep running.MrMemorial wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 2:37 pmThe ref called for the clock to stop.
