Another thing we did badly

On to occasions our punter put the ball on the two yard line. Both times the first guy touched the ball and batted it back so it wouldn't go into the endzone. Both time some ***** flew in and slid into the endzone with the ball, causing a touchback. Do we not practice this? Do the coaches not tell them not to slide in when the ball isn't going into the endzone. The two plays gave the roughly 38 more yards that do not show up in the already lopsided statistics.

truedat.....something else that needs to be taught is better/proper tackling technique. we had far too many unsuccessful arm tackles.
