Re: Vandy-Xavier Thread
Interesting - the announcers say the book is out on Vanderbilt. They have trouble with the slider.
Diaz scorches one - third baseman gloves it. Sigh.
Two LOB in our first… Not the start we wanted.

1-11 in last 12 at bats with boys in scoring position: that will not win games

Re: Vandy-Xavier Thread
Good hustle by Vastine. Do you think he would've been called safe had the tag been applied for the catcher blocking home? The catcher's knelt on home, covered probably 75% of it.

Re: Vandy-Xavier Thread
Diaz gets one through the third baseman.
Great slide by Vastine on a very close play.
Diaz and Vastine are the two guys swinging for line drives and being dependable. Bradfield k’d for the second time - pretty rare for him.
Schreck has done a nice job of taking walks - those are team at bats.

Re: Vandy-Xavier Thread
Wasted two runners but did pick up one run and caused their pitcher to throw 20 pitches. He is at 47 through 3.
1-0 good guys.

Re: Vandy-Xavier Thread
got to take better advantage of these scoring opportunities: get a lead off double and only 1 run. At least we are up 1-0.

Re: Vandy-Xavier Thread
Two hits for Xavier. But no runs in the 4th.
Boki only at the 44 pitch count through 4 - but may be tiring in the heat. I’m betting we try to get one more inning from him.
Bradfield makes a nice play to cut off a ball in the alley - possibly saved a run.
