This was a really bad coaching decision.
Schultz has really regressed over the last couple years, a perfect example of a talented pitcher not improving under Brown. He is just grooving the ball this inning, almost like batting practice. Just threw his best pitch of the game for strike 3 to get the first out.

Great play by Austin. Should be inning ending. Instead it’s a tie game. Officials are a pain.

And that terrible call by the ump costs us the lead. And now we are behind. But this is self-inflicted.

Terrible pitching decision. Sorry - I love all our guys. But that was a bad situation. And when it was clearly bad, we left him in two batters extra.

Wasn’t Schultz our closer a couple of years ago? He’s regressed.

If Corbs has one long time deficiency, he leaves struggling pitchers in too long. Today is a good example. Sigh...

This is why starting Reilly is also costly. This is where Reilly shines.

Of course, minus two starters, that decision is logical.

Ump called strikes on both Schreck & Noland this inning that were in the same spot that he didn't call strike 3 for Schultz in the top half of the inning. Very frustrating.

Yep. Like I said earlier. Either already had red tinted glasses on or put them on after Corbin had the audacity to talk to him about the potential batter interference.

Schultz may have just cost us a series win over number two in the nation and a chance to host the super. Well... Schultz and whoever called his number and left him in too long.

Threatening. Vastine hitting well. Needs to avoid base running miscues!
Come on, boys. Let’s at least tie this thing up!

Vastine and Diaz have been going the opposite way lately - very effectively.

Need contact here.

Well, our friend behind the plate calls a run-scoring ball. And Enrique does make two strike contact to tie us up. And he beats it out!!

Well done.

Yes!!! EBj with two clutch steals and ANOTHER balk recaptures the lead. Big inning to answers Arky’s 4 runs.
