Re: FLA #3
Maybe bats are tired. Bench ALL starters, ALL of them for next game. Could reserves do any worse? Can’t score fewer than zero runs.

Plus he has 27 home runs. I saw one thing that listed him as pick 1/1 for the 2024 draft.

Looks that way.geeznotagain wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 12:20 pm Is the talent disparity that great? Are we that much worse offensively than Florida?

Re: FLA #3
we don't have the offensive horsepower to last long into the post season. And we don't manufacture runs well either. This is a good team but it's not championship caliber. I'll cheer hard for them but I'm not getting my hopes up with a run to Omaha.
Re: FLA #3
The final out was just symbolic of the entire series--Vandy hitter dinks it, Florida makes the tough play. Game, set, match. What a dismal weekend.

I didn't get to watch any of the game (Mother's Day - related), but followed it a bit on my phone. How was the home plate ump? I ask because he's the son of a friend of mine (not a super-close friend, so you can be honest and it won't hurt my feelings).

Ball/Strikes looked good today. I didn't have any issues with it at all.geeznotagain wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 2:46 pm I didn't get to watch any of the game (Mother's Day - related), but followed it a bit on my phone. Re: FLA #3
Started 13-2… have since gone 4-8… And if Arkansas sends at least nine players in Nashville… Will lose two or more of those. So we will finish on a 4-11 or 5-10 slide. I’d have to double check but I’m pretty sure you’re right, that’s the worst team in the SEC the second half of the season. Certainly the most jarring collapse.
