Commodore Caravan in Atlanta Monday night
Hmmm... originally the event was scheduled at the Atlanta Braves' Truist Park for an evening on which there was no game... but the Braves got rained out over the weekend and now there's a Braves-Mets game at 4:40 pm. Wondering how that will affect things.
I had hoped to attend, but I am now unable. Are any Atlanta VandyManiacs going? If so, could you give us a report?

I don't guess there enough fans in East Tennessee to warrant a visit. We do produce a fair amount of state championship teams over here( Maryville, Alcoa to name 2 pretty dominate teams) that have some players that go on to various colleges and have success in college. Show some interest in the Vanderbilt supporters over here and maybe some of us can give back in return. I guess the caravan goes where the biggest bucks are and I don't mean the animal bucks.

It is a numbers game, of course, and they will spend their limited time where the largest concentration of donors live. I suspect those would be Nashville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Chicago maybe Houston, but not Knoxville or us way over here in Charleston, but the Chancellor is coming here!vandy86 wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 9:35 am I don't guess there enough fans in East Tennessee to warrant a visit. Tweet from Vandy Volleyball about the Atlanta visit.
Here's the VU Athletics Department story, which says the ATL event was attended by about 125 people.
The photos lead to a question: when flashing the "VU" hand sign, should the palm or the back of the hand face outward?

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Here's the podcast version of Monday night's Commodore Hour
Hmm... I cut and pasted the link above, but it looks as though the bulletin board interface has turned it into something that I don't know how to deal with... Don?

I definitely say palm out….this would be a good survey question!FayetteDore wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 12:07 pm

I always thought it was more about which hand you used. Middle and pointer being V and pointer and thumb being U.Ndorefin wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 2:50 pmI definitely say palm out….this would be a good survey question!FayetteDore wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 12:07 pm

Re: Commodore Caravan in Atlanta Monday night
Right hand - palm out, left hand - palm in, as displayed in the photo.
With that orientation, both hands always look like "Vu" to whomever is facing you.
If the left hand is palm out, it appears to be "uV" to an onlooker.
My opinion, FWIW.
CONQUER!!...., and PREVAIL!!!

Re: Commodore Caravan in Atlanta Monday night
I am SO glad the critical issue of "palm out or palm in" is finally being addressed.
