Baseball is full of statistics and adages. An adage that comes to mind after tonight's game relates to inevitable poor hitting performances and poor pitching performances. When they happen, it is better that they be combined in a single game so they cause one loss instead of two.

That loss may have been a blessing in disguise. I will take the mid-week thumping if it fires up Corbs the Vandy Boys heading to Knoxville this week. Let's not just go to Knoxville and win. Let's go to Knoxville and dominate...bring out the bats, the brooms, and the whistler. Yep. God only knows who's pitching games 1 and 2. God and CTC. Doesn't elicit a warm and fuzzy. Particularly in a hostile environment.
