Commitment: Brycen Coleman 6-5 200 FLEX/WR/QB Berlin, Maryland

Post by BrentVU »

He reportedly runs a 4.48 40 and is a multisport star at his high school. (Folks, you will take as many athletes with this combination of size and speed as you can find, and figure out what to do with them later.)

Had offers from Minnesota, Boston College, East Carolina, and a number smaller and academically-oriented schools.

In this film you will see him as both a QB and a wideout, but I think Vandy wants him as a tight end.

Interesting to see someone that tall run away from that many DB's. Looks like a great get. Welcome aboard Brycen!

Is it my impaired memory or do we always start each recruiting class with a TE?
Always hopeful; rarely optimistic. @GAD

I think that was under Mason. We always seemed to have about 17 tight ends in each recruiting class, I believe that staff liked recruiting them and converting them to other positions such as D-Line. That's from what I remember.

I'm sure most here remember Matt Jones the QB at Arkansas. Running style reminds me of that.

He has some wheels at that height. Pretty graceful runner. Makes it look effortless. So jelly. I looked slow and was slow.
