I kind of compare it to the nfl draft. Months worth of hypotheticals. A bracketologist is a nerd just like a draft expert. They might be right by default but they definitely miss a lot. The committee picks the teams just like the nfl franchise drafts a player. The “experts” have nothing to do with any of it. Teams have their own scouts for that and if these talking heads were actually right they would be employed by the ncaa or nfl. If any of us looked at numbers and had time to watch college highlights all year we could “predict” the field or make mock drafts.

Arkansas is 7-11 vs. Quad1&2 with 3 Q1 wins.
Miss St. is 7-10 vs. Quad1&2 with 4 Q1 wins.
Vandy is 9-10 vs. Quad1&2 with 4 Q1 wins.

Oh, and we finished with a better record in the SEC than all of those teams.
