Which SEC basketball coach is most unlikeable?
The SEC has several unlikeable basketball coaches. I am trying to decide which one I dislike the most, irrespective of whether or not I like or dislike their school. There may be some ties.
My final four are Calipari, Musselman, Pearl and Oats. Hmmm. LSU ran off their coach, so that makes the choice somewhat easier.
My winner (loser) is Calipari, in an extremely close vote.

Mussellman and calipari. After Bruce left Tennessee I started to understand that he actually is a very good coach and brings great energy to the game.

Pearls team was pretty well disciplined. The Arkansas game was a disgrace to basketball with how their players acted. Starts with the coach.

Am I the only one who dislikes Buzz Willams???
Musselman is probably worse, though.
Both are crybabies.

Musselman is one of those guys who searches his name on Twitter. I learned that firsthand last June when I tweeted that he was an alum of the University of San Diego, when Vandy was playing USD in the NCAA baseball tournament.
I used to loathe Kermit Davis when he was at MTSU.

Buzz and Stack had words during a game a few years ago. I believe the Aggies were up big and Buzz was calling timeouts in the final minute to delay the game ending.

Mussellman for me then Cal, Oats.
The king for me may have been Will Wade, dude cried so much during games.
I personally like Pearl, he has generally been kind towards us comment wise and he also voted against the expansion of the coaches box at memorial. While the expansion doesn't bother me, I thought it said a lot about him not crying over it unlike how Cal does every other year.

Musselman and Calipari for me. Calipari is such a phony.
While I don't love Pearl's sideline antics, when he gets off the court, he is respectful and generally complimentary of his opponents. I also loved Pearl's appreciation and respect for the Vanderbilt-UT rivalry. Bringing back the orange coat was the ultimate sign of respect. I think he genuinely appreciates Memorial.
On another note, I hate the way coaches dress now. Pearl looked like such a slob on the sidelines. I very much appreciate Stack's wardrobe game. He also is not afraid to sport the black and gold.

protecting his meal ticket to a potential natty, every coach's dream. it must be excruciating for (some) college coaches to pin their hopes, dreams and job security on the behavior and performance of 18-22 year-olds, especially in today's society. one wonders how much of a dilemma it actually may (or may not) be for oats.dunc77 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 3:06 pm"Wrong spot, wrong time" OatsAuricGoldfinger wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 12:59 pm Nate Oats proving today he does indeed have a place on this list...
