Good question. I think the official count is 21. The Signing Day Central site does not list Jailen Ruth (maybe whoever was manning that site left at noon?). But the coaches acknowledged Ruth's signing, and so does this list:

Then there's QB Brennan Storer of Dallas, a late "commitment" who has not signed yet, who would make 22. Vandy can't announce them until they have signed. Maybe someone else knows the deal there (greyshirt, PWO?).

Just when the journalists thought it was safe to write their stories about VU's signing day, this breaks...

Punter Conor Weasler, 6-0 160 from Larkspur-Redwood, Calif. says he is "committed and signed" with Vanderbilt... he is a top-ranked punter at the Kohls kicking camp...

This suggests to me that Matthew Hayball must be moving on (though I haven't heard this officially)... he technically still has a year of eligibility, I think...

Coach Lea posted this graphic just a few moments ago showing 21 signees in the class of #GoldStandard23...

It does not show the punter Conor Weasler who said he "signed", and the school has not acknowledged his "signing." So there must be a different kind of understanding... probably a PWO or greyshirt situation, but we'll see.

Anyway, the coaches should all get a good night's sleep tonight as they go to be thinking about this group they've assembled!
