This obviously has a football impact, too.

This is a good interview about the new facility with a representative of Populous, the firm designing the new facilities:

Just an observation and a chuckle. Candace is wearing a Star V pin.

It’s not her fault. The VU Bookstore says they won’t be fully stocked with “V” gear for 18 months.

Pretty sure that's part of the new set of logos and available for use for different university applications.

Quick highlights from what I heard:

Construction to start this fall during football season

Construction to be completed prior to the 2024 football season starts.

Will be one of the largest basketball practice facilities in the country.

Men and women’s facilities equal in size, access and amenities. Only difference are some logistical layouts that are being customized by each head coach to meet what they specifically desire.

Women chose to have their facility be above the men’s. The university was very sensitive not to show any bias or favoritism.

Building will provide access to Memorial and Dudley. It will also allow access from the East and west sides of Dudley providing the ability to walk around the stadium.

It seems very deliberate and well thought out. I will tip my cap to Vandy when this is finally built as they seemed to have done an abundance of due diligence prior to starting this
