For the school to offer up a bus or two to take fans/students on a quick day trip to Knoxville? Leave at noon. Back by 11pm.

Box lunch and a couple coolers of soft drinks. BYOB.

$20 per person.

Little OT: WBB used to have a booster group that took 3 or 4 away trips a year. Until the NCAA intervened.

In the good old days (1970s), VU sent two or three busloads of students to nearby (Knoxville, Tuscaloosa, etc.) basketball games. The trips even included an initial stop at Mrs. Mize's on Church Street (the legal drinking age was 18).

Ms. Mize made a fortune cashing checks for Vandy students for a small (probably usurious) "fee".
You could literally write a "check" on a paper bag at Ms. Mize's as long as you timely replaced it with cash.
I saw Senator Howard Baker there late one night.
I am not sure if he was buying liquor or cashing a check.
