Greatest Streak Ever?

Post by MikeADore »

Today, UConn beat UCLA to keep alive what I think could be the greatest streak in sports history: The Huskeys have now played 1,032 games without losing two in a row. The last time they lost back-to-back games was 1993. That's just mind boggling to me. The 1993 team featured Rebekah Lobo, who said on TV today that she played terrible in that second loss. It's been 27-plus years, and she still remembers that game.

In all her years as a player and coach at UConn, Shea Ralph never lost two games in a row. Of course, she lost games two and three as the Vandy head coach, but, hey, who's counting? ;) I'm confident there are a lot of wins in her future.
