He was in covid protocol, but that was weeks ago. Have heard nothing. That is why I listen to the pregame on radio, hoping Corbs will mention him. Last he mentioned him was two weekends back and only saying he was approaching the end of the protocol.

I've been hoping he would get healthy and on track late in the season because we are light on reliable pitching headed towards postseason, and Smith has the most experience of the guys who could have a chance to step up.

Corbin said today that Smith had soreness in his arm after returning from Covid, but that he is now throwing again.
