Game 2 on watchespn again...
... after closing and reopening app. Was getting Paul Finebaum and some caller from Knoxville. Ouch!
Did you hear Max Herz tell us during Game 1 that he and Andrew Harris are calling the game from inside Memorial Auditorium? I suppose watching ESPN feeds and getting stats online.
I don't know about the radio announcers, but I would think a dozen or so folks in that roomy pressbox area could socially distance.
What's with that? Is this some way of telling the fans how dangerous it is to be within 60 feet six inches of another human being? An excuse for keeping fans out of the game, I suppose.

Good questions.
Jack Leiter, 3 called strike 3's to each of first 3 hitters, all on late moving fastballs on the inside corner. Hit 100 a couple times on the Hawkins radar gun. Very impressive start!

Another pop fly routine out misplayed into yet another VU double. That has to be 8 or 9 they've struggled with, only caught a couple. Like a Little League game

Well that sucked. Nothing really the guys could do, as they thought the liner was caught, but then they were both caught at second. Crappy end to a promising inning.

Bradfield basically just created a double steal by taking third on Gonzo's hard single up the middle. Drew the very late throw allowing Gonzo to take second. Speed is a wonderful thing.

If Murphy can do that we will be fine. Let's hope he's turned it around from last year when he was wild. Looked great that inning with 3 Ks. Still 1-0 going to the bottom of the 8th.

Pink, you seem to be close to the program, do you think that number is accurate? Watching, only Murphy looked to be throwing as hard as the numbers indicated. Leiter looked most effective with consistent late movement on his fastball.

Leiter looked really polished to me, especially to be so early in the seaon. When they yanked Rocker so quickly after he missed the strike zone (nowhere close) on 8 straight, I was concerned that he might be injured. But seeing the early exit of Leiter too, I'm assuming it must have been a pitch count thing (I was watching with no sound most of the time, so that may have been mentioned by the announcers).
