Scrimmage at 12 noon
Sorry i missed you all. It was me and 10 scouts. Smith rock for 3 innings more to follow
Re: Scrimmage at 12 noon
Random thoughts by Pinky.....
Hickman, Rocker, Eder, Smith all where they should be as far as velo, spin, setting up batters, results, mindset........ add in Brown and they carry 80% of the pitching load.
McElvain stays within himself, 88-90 around the plate off speed is ok
Huff, Murphy work in progress
Leiter CB is very good, cannot command fastball, throws hard....gotta throw strikes
Doolin, Hliboki Schultz, Maldonado all about the same. Schultz threw well Sunday
The catchers ( except Duvy) need some serious help behind the dish... 16 missing balls in 6 innings. Too many mental mistakes. BIG Issue
Bright spot .. Tate Kolwyck.... knocking the sh*t out of the ball
Pinks lineup....
Starters
Friday Hickman
Saturday Rocker
Sunday Eder
Long RF Smith
Short RF McElvain, Huff, Murphy
Closer Brown
Weekday Leiter, Doolin, McElvain, Maldonado, etc.
Catcher Duvy
1st Jones
2nd Ray
3rd Martin
SS Young
RF Davis
CF Thomas
LF Hogan
DH Kolwyck

Re: Scrimmage at 12 noon
Thanks for keeping us informed, Floyd.
By the way, there is a thread in the coffee shop forum about Alan Parsons concert coming up at the Ryman in late March.
This year is the 40th anniversary of the concept album "Turn of a Friendly Card" (an album that was very popular with fans of the Moody Blues and Pink Floyd)
