Now in the top of the 6th, Vandy has taken total command of the game. Leading 11-3 after a grand slam by Connor Kaiser. 1 out so far in this inning.

Hickman walks lead-off man. Falls behind next batter.

Gives up a homer.

That should be it - he did not walk many. But when he did. It hurt him.

What really hurt was that he had the first guy 1-2 before walking him. Need some help from Conger now.

11 runs may not be enough. 5 sure weren't. Again, balls are flying out of here.

But Conger needs to throw strikes. We are getting no favors.

With most staffs I'd be both ecstatic and comfortable with a 6 run lead this late.

With a double digit lead I'd feel okay. Heck, I could hold a double-digit led.

Clemson's very vocal crowd seems to be thinning out.

Feels like Martin has led off a lot of innings.

Scott blasts another. To center. A no-doubter.

This place is a launching pad.

Scott, Kaiser and Clarke all have two homers.

What I like most about this: each time Clemson has scored, we have scored in the next inning. Showing character. Answering them - deflating their momentum.

Class vs ass. Martin takes a called third stike on a close pitch and turns and walks to the bench. Clempsun guy does the same except he bitches, moans and cries all the way back.

Meanwhile, Kaiser puts himself into the record books! Vandyboys 14 - Clempsun 5.

Kaiser is now a solo shot away from a home run cycle. I have never seen that. 2-run, 3-run, grand slam.
