And next weekend we have a home series against an opponent that is off to a 1 and 5 SEC start. Advice about making hay comes to mind.

Or don't overlook Georgia just because they're off to a poor start...

We’re opening with SEC bottom feeders. I’m still worried about our middle relievers. Giving up too many dingers in the later innings.
That’ll come back to bite us against TN, LSU, Fla. SC et Al.

I’m not getting too giddy.
Ut travels to lSU this weekend. May not bounce too quickly

As noted above, VU starts off with this year’s “SEC bottom feeders.” So far they have taken care of business while they can. Next weekend at 3-6 Mizzou is another relatively “easy” SEC series on paper. But then, of course, the 3 wins were a home sweep of UT. The VandyBoys need to stay dialed in next weekend. They’re building some cushion for the tougher series on the slate later in the season. Great start, though!

Timely hitting was the key with the offense. The conference might be tougher this year than in past years. It does not look like there will be any easy series wins. We could get swept on any given weekend and could sweep on most weekends.

A team is never as good or as bad as it seems. Caution not to get too high or too low. It's all about May and June.

REMINDER: Never as good or as bad as it seems. Baseball is a fickle game. Schreck's grounder could have easily gotten through the infield last night. Would have scored another run and who knows what happens after that....Can't remember last time that we got a bleeder to drive in a run with two outs - we should get one soon. EJB all of a sudden looked confident at the plate in his last abs.... If he picks it up, everyone should follow Every day is a new day.
