Sounds like a junk pitcher again. 87 on the fastball and a curve. Great.

we just dont know how to hit line drives anymore. weak ground balls and fly ball outs is all we got.

Actually, I'd rather see 3 singles and 2 doubles in the same inning.

It seems hitting has been a weakness for at keast 2 years. Cirbs has to know that so it is either a problem in identifying talent ir developing it. Let's hooe it us just a selk-correcting slump.

I watched the entire 17 innings vs Evansville and hitters being made to take perfect strikes that could be hit over the batman building was certainly an issue. When that (getting way behind in the count) happens and a batter has to take desperate defensive hacks on less good pitches just to fight them off, that is not conducive to a strong offensive showing. That was a recurring theme in the first part of the 2011-2012 season (28 losses that season)
