Sounds like he's intending to go pro, but we'll see what happens. If more and more teams opt out of drafting prep pitchers in the top 10-15, we may have an actual shot of getting Barriera or Lesko to campus

This goes back to what I mentioned in an earlier thread: If you are a prep pitcher that can command first round slot money, you probably should take it. There is no guarantee with a pitcher that the money will be the same or better after 3 years, no matter how good Vanderbilt or any other program does developing them. It worked out great for Jack Leiter, but there are plenty of examples where it didn't work out for the kid.
