The former VandyBoy and Commodore volunteer coach joined the ECU program earlier this summer.

Flash Flaherty is also on the Padres staff. I've seen him listed as both "Offensive Coordinator" (whatever that means) and "Hitting Assistant Coach". The last two years he was the Padres "Quality Control Coach" (again, whatever that means). I've long thought of Flaherty as a possible Corbs' replacement (many years from now).

This is great for Macias. He was loyal to Corbin as the 3rd assistant while the NCAA wouldn't figure out how to allow for paying the 3rd, and now he's getting his reward.
