Murphy seems to be cramping up. 50 minute delay between pitching. Let's not get him hurt!

I think it was a cramp - not a serious injury. He was hopping around for much of the inning.

Murphy with a cramp. Not sure what the announcers were seeing, but it looked like he pulled up his shoe about 4 pitches earlier stretching his calf. Ethan Smith will have another chance to come in and pitch, even if (hopefully) for just one batter.

60+ pitches is a lot for him.

We have several pitchers who are NOT SEC-caliber.

If Maldanado can't do it, do we use Christian Little? Rocker? Carter Young?

Our relief pitching last night almost rivaled the quality of the announcers (and particularly the color guy) of our telecast. Who were they?

That would be: McElvain, Murphy, Smith, Fisher, and Maldonado :)

The color guy was Greg Swindell whom I absolutely love in the booth. He calls the game exactly as he sees it whether it's an inconsistent strike zone or a replay, and does it without drowning the game out with constant chatter about his personal exploits or alma mater. I think the only time he mentioned the Longhorns was when Matvik asked his opinion on the Horns breezing through their regional. He does come off as a little dry but I prefer that over the much more charismatic Chris Burke. In fact, every tourney game Burke has worked I've approached with a standard of 5 (I turn the channel the 5th time Burke brings up the Vols). Actually made it until the top of the 2nd inning in one game before changing the channel.

Announcers thought Young was tinkering with switch hitting for the heck of it.

Berkwich has the 2nd best ERA on the team behind Leiter, hasn't lost a game or blown a save that I recall.

Just sayin' ya know.

Curious why he does not pitch more....He doesn't seem overwhelmed by the moment.
