The Tech pitcher hasn't really pitched that well, but he's gotten 3-4 close call strikes and a pair of DPs. Leiter has pitched much better, but Tech literally fouled off 1/3 of his pitches thru the first 3 innings. Leiter needs 2 shutdown innings, and maybe make it to the 7th.

Grissom has just about reached the longest he's gone this year, so he is due to implode now. Maybe we can get a crooked letter on him this inning.

LaNeve screwed the pooch with that time out. Vas was in for the home steal without much difficulty, except that time had been called. I don't think that affected the pitcher throw home.

Vaz had home stolen. That really hurt.

Leiter sat a long time - and now he is missing high.

Can you believe that crap at second. One of the best SS in the college game and he makes a bad error...taking your eye off the throw.
We got lucky with the out call, but then after a K, Leiter gets in the way and screws up the play and now they are on 1st and 3rd.

Leiter's hook is simply wicked. As good as his fastball is, when that curve is working he is unhitable.

The sixth was a bit of an adventure - but he ended it with stunning curveball.

This Georgia Tech pitcher throws the off-speed stuff that stumps us. I'd sit on curve.

Maldonado went heavy on curves against the Tech sluggers. It worked.
