Sec bracket screwed up

Whoever drew up the sec bracket screwed it up. Basically Florida , Tennessee and Alabama and Arkansas,Vanderbilt and Ole Miss is “pool play”. It’s an easy fix , just swap Alabama and Vanderbilt in the loser bracket. Cmon sec surely your smarter than that!

Also, when do we play? D1 and vucommodores.com say 1:30 this afternoon, but the SEC website says 6:30 (7:30 EDT). Quite the difference.

I can’t recall when this changed — possibly when the true double-elimination bracket switched to single-elimination for the final 4 teams — but the brackets used to swap on Saturday. The best two teams could start in the same bracket (say, Vanderbilt and Arkansas) and still meet in the championship.

That made more sense.

And the game is scheduled for 2:30 EDT / 1:30 CDT.
