Why in the name of all that is holy do we keep swinging at pitches that are up in our eyes. David Macias should be fired if he can't get these clowns to take those pitches and actually swing at the belt high curves.

Dougherty’s mannerisms on the mound are driving me crazy. I sure hope (for multiple reasons, obviously) that the Vandy Boys can get to him in the bottom of the 9th.

Because it’s what we do. Even the UM coach pointed it out when they interviewed him during the rain delay.

I don't know, I find his mannerisms oddly entertaining. I wouldn't mind seeing Vandy players exhibit some actual emotion from time-to-time.

While I appreciate Bulger's strength and HR abilities, with 2 strikes in the 9th you would think he would shorten up on his swing somewhat.

Keegan with a terrific game winning hit to right, reached out and poked a slider damn near in the dirt in the left handed batters box to right. Fantastic! Glad I stayed awake for the whole game

Tomorrow's game should be our stud vs Arkansas's stud. Should be a huge crowd too.

And the Reb pitcher was humbled in the end as the Vandy Boys showed emotion...sweet!!!

Ok. This team showed me some GRIT tonight.

Little and Murphy pitched well and our first three came through CLUTCH in the 9th. Great win.

It's Arkansas tomorrow. Time to bring them back to earth.

#3 catcher?

Post by Versus75 »

We never saw a tournament roster, so I was wondering if Espinal would have been eligible if the game went to extra innings.

I applaud Corbs for putting Vaz in to pinch run. We had to at least tie the game and then figure out what happens next.

I know Keegan caught a midweek game a few weeks ago. Did Bulger catch once early in the season? If Espinal was eligible, I’m sure he would have gotten the call.
