Re: Ole Miss at Hoover
Someone needs to sit down with this ump after the game and go over pitch by pitch. It would be a very painful exercise.
He is absolutely terrible. "Strike three" to Thomas was not even close.

His strike zone has been all over the place.UltimateVUFan wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 10:12 pmOn the initial live look it was so far inside I thought it hit him.

It is pouring. Little has been great through four. Strikes out the side in the fourth. Our first 1-2-3 inning.
I still would have guys start stretching in the bullpen in the fifth. That's just me.

Re: Ole Miss at Hoover
That was not good base running. LaNeve misses a homer by a foot - but our runner on second only gets to third. He held up worried it would be caught - but it was not going to get caught.
We need to make contact here and get a run in.

Re: Ole Miss at Hoover
I'll take a single. 1-0 good guys.
Coach didn't send LaNeve with the banged up leg. I think he would have made it. But you don't want an out at home...
Noland needs to make some contact here, too. Sigh - pop out. Then Romero flies out. We only get one run.
We are really not doing a good job of bringing runners in from third with one out.

Little at 68 pitches thru 5 shutout innings. I suspect we see him in the 6th.
