More fans this week?

I appreciate Corbs making that statement. He finally put Candace Story on the defensive and made her come out with a statement although a very weak one. It’s just ridiculous what Vandy is doing limiting the crowds at the Hawk.

I didn't read or hear AD Lee's statement. Is it something new. Can you share a link?
All I've gotten previously was that VU is blaming the attendance situation on Nashville rules or guidelines.
The same Nashville rules or guidelines allowed the Titans to host up to 20% attendance. They averaged nearly 13,000 per home game -- FOUR MONTHS AGO!
The same Nashville rules or guidelines allow crowds of mostly unmasked revelers to roam lower Broadway.
There is even a guideline for "sexually oriented businesses" that is less strict than what we have at Vanderbilt baseball games. "... maximum party size is 10 people per table." We seat 4 people in a row of 18 seats with an empty row in front and behind those 4 people.
I found THIS online at: https://www.asafenashville.org/roadmap- ... resources/
EVENTS
Maximum event size attendance is 2,000 people, dependent on the risk associated with the event and application approval.
Aye, there's the rub: application approval ... Vanderbilt must make the effort and apply for approval to put up to 2,000 fans into The Hawk.
The announced attendance at the Georgia series games was 646, 670 and 637. Didn't seem like the place was 18% full from my seat in the family room. Will anyone who was there comment?
Triple the previous attendance and take our home field advantage!
Re: More fans this week?
I have seen that based on Davidson County limitations, they will allow up to 40% starting this week.

Re: More fans this week?
That would be around 1,500 at Hawkins Field - enough to sound like a real crowd.

Re: More fans this week?
I watched the Saturday game and it was pretty obvious that about 50-100 or so male UT students were standing up and making themselves heard the entire game. Maybe they affected the game; maybe not. They kept a pretty constant conversation going with Leiter. But I think Corbin was complimenting them when he talked about UT's crowd.
This does raise a question, for those of you who go to more games than me: Do ANY Vanderbilt students go to baseball games? I've been to about 5 games over the last 3 years and at none of those games noticed anything close to a "student section."
I mean.. is it just the whistler and Vandy Lance and some very well behaved Nashville partisans?

Vanderbilt students were rowdier...
... before the first base seats were installed. We could set up a keg outside the fence and run the hose through the chain links.
But none us tossed our beers into the air when the ‘Dores hit a home run.
