Vandy three up, three down in top half of first.
Leiter has two outs and runners on first and second. Leiter is struggling a bit early. Strike zone seems to be moving a bit too.

Fly out ends UT "threat." UT reached on an infield hit, a wild pitch got the runner to second. Then a walk. Leiter was in the low 90s. The outside corner was very unstable. A very nice play by Noland for the first out or it might have been worse.

Anyone know why UT’s first baseman has a chin strap on his hat and helmet? You can pretty much insert your joke here but I’m guessing concussions?

Chris Burke is a Vol. He is trying to be objective, but failing.
He is super excited that Leiter does not have his best stuff.

Leiter looks like he's trying to establish all his pitches, just not there yet. Seems to be uncharacteristically overthrowing a lot of pitches. Like USC game, fastball looks like his best pitch so far, though not that good yet today.

My opinion, ump is giving UT pitcher a lot of strikes. As a consequence our guys are swinging at balls because they can’t trust the guy.
I praised the ump last night. This guy is bad. I won’t mention it again - but it is starting to take its toll on Leiter. More walks than normal, fewer ko’s and more pitches...
