Observations about new freshmen

Jack Lieter- filthy slider and change up! Great movement on ball! Stocky , but not prototypical Vandy Hurler as far as size. I compare him to a larger version of Sonny physically. Should see large amount of time on bump in Spring barring injury.
C. J Rodriguez - great arm looks good defensively. Impressive at the plate. Stocky and very small to most sec catchers physically
Maxwell Romero- good size great arm. Very impressive at the plate.
Spencer Jones- great size largest freshman physically. I was surprised with his speed. Very disciplined at the plate. Has superstar potential. Very athletic!
Carter Young- very impressive! Has a great shot to play a lot of short imo.

I was surprised by how small and thin the freshmen were! Not accustomed to average size Vandy Boys! Got a lot of work to do defensively! Also lots of base running mistakes. We are as talented as anyone in the country, and have the best pitching staff! Imo shapes up as a fun and exciting Spring!

Agree with the above except the slider has a long way to go..... Curve is good...

Doolin, Hliboki threw well this fall.

My line up predictions early on in season, I see changes as the season moves along

Long relief & fireman --> Smith
Short relief --> Murphy, Huff
Closer --> Brown
Mid-Week starter Lieter, Hliboki, Doolin
Pen --> McElvain, Schultz , Keenan, Maldonado , Kaiser
