Nothing surprises me these days, but the gall of SEC state fans of universities with (i) no admission standards, (ii) administrations that let football run the entire school and (iii) massive donor bases and funding from state government (including the ability to issue bonds at the sovereign rating) to complain about Vandy is just...well galling.

Thanks for sharing the article.

I used to read Joe Rexrode's stories when he wrote for the Detroit Free Press. I was sorry to see that he was moving elsewhere. However that was until I saw that he was moving to Nashville. He has experience working with high level programs. For many years he was the Free Press beat writer for Michigan State. So he had covered Tom Izzo and the basketball team.

Since he also was a writer for the Lansing State Journal, I believe I know who he would like to see win this series.

Our biggest detractors in baseball seem to be Ole Miss and Mississippi State fans. I think everyone else respects us for the most part. The OM and MSU people have zero understanding how Opportunity Vanderbilt works. I guess it's too complicated for them to understand.
