Best and worst of the year

Post by Dorewithaflare »

I enjoyed the win over yellow haired thugs but my favorite win was over LSU 13- 3 when they had about twenty fans to our one. Not to over look the 18- 5 to Duke but my worst lose was to Arkansas when we had a two run lead going into the bottom of the nine. We put Brown in but we also put a lot of other players in because it seemed safe. This is the game were coach Corbin said "I should be fired".

I'd also put game 2 at A&M with the Arkansas one. Had we not blown a big late lead in that game, we would have lost only the Georgia series (where their pitchers shut Vandy down the entire weekend) all year.

Agree with both of you. The A&M and Arkansas <was sure we had that one> losses were the most challenging to process. But in Coach Corbin, we trust. Hoping to see the #VandyBoys play their best baseball of the season the next few nights---all be it via television as I had to leave Omaha yesterday for work. Enjoy!!
#Anchordown.
Feeling that the bats will wake up after the 60+ hour time to reset and prepare. Proud of our program, as long as their approach stays so consistent--perhaps the best thing Coach Corbin's experience brings to the kids.

That was a great comeback. SEC Network re-aired this a coupla days ago, which was terrific for me, 'cause I hadn't been able to access the game in real time due to feud between my computer & ESPN3. I wish the SEC Network would show repeat plays in their entirety though, instead of constantly jumping ahead through the game.

The "I should be fired" statement has set the tone for the rest of the season. The players responded.

I was at the Austin Peay game and it was reminiscent of some of the all time football collapses. It was UGLY.

VU is an amazing 30 and 2 since that statement (but still a way to go).
