College baseball generally doesn’t get much coverage in Michigan. But there have been several mentions on sports talk radio during the past few weeks. An article about the arrival of the Michigan team to Omaha mentioned that they go there at same time as Vanderbilt. There have been several mentions that the Michigan coach was at Vanderbilt. Then there was the article today that has been previously linked in other threads.

In a side note, although he only played about 1 year total with the Tigers, David Price was quite popular here. So local baseball fans are familiar with Vanderbilt.

Somewhat off topic is that this week’s PGA stop is in Detroit. Both Snedeker and List are in the field. We will see if the Vanderbilt connection will be mentioned since the golf tournament starts shortly after baseball.
