- Limited the Titans to four hits during the Commodores’ second victory of the season

Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt won two games at the inaugural MLB4 Collegiate Baseball Tournament over the weekend led by a pair of standout offensive performances from Salt River Fields in Talking Stick, Arizona… The Commodores batted .330 as a team and posted a .430 on-base percentage… Eight freshmen made their debuts including seven pitchers… Vanderbilt pounded out runs in its first four innings including plating eight in the fourth to race past Virginia, 15-9 in the season opener on Friday night… The scoring output was Vanderbilt's most on opening day since plating 19 runs in 1973 against Austin Peay… Vandy collected 17 hits from eight different players while 10 Commodores reached base… Ethan Paul clubbed his 20th collegiate home run, putting Vanderbilt ahead 5-4 in the third… An inning later, the Commodores sent 11 batters to the plate while totaling seven hits… Vandy lit up the scoreboard in each of the first three innings in route to a 14-9 victory against No. 25 Cal State Fullerton on Saturday… The Dores produced five runs during a 38-minute first inning, highlighted by a Philip Clarke grand slam… The backing was enough for Vanderbilt starter Patrick Raby who held the Titans to four hits and one run across 5.2 innings… Vandy could not solve TCU pitching, dropping the finale, 10-2 on Sunday…The No. 19 Horned Frogs pushed across five runs during the first two innings, spoiling Vanderbilt freshman Kumar Rocker's debut… The right-hander permitted five hits and as many runs while walking a pair and striking out one in 1.1 innings… The Commodores, who produced a combined 29 runs during their opening two games, were limited to seven hits and stranded seven runners.
