St. Joseph’s at Vanderbilt, 11-20-22, 2 p.m. (SEC+)
St. Joseph’s has been on a crusade to beat up smart kids. They’re 3-0 with wins over Bucknell, Yale and Penn. Now, they’re after Vandy. Let’s hope they bit off more than they can chew this time.
We beat them 64-45 in Philadelphia last year. Brinae Alexander had 18, and Iyanna Moore had 16 while Jordyn Cambridge had 10 points, 8 assists and 6 steals. Vandy forced 25 turnovers.

Looking lost out there today. Definitely not a good half thus far…

I know all of you* out there think i'm unnecessarily harsh on this team. I just can't wrap my head around a program that was #1 in the nation for 1/3 of a season losing to St. Joe's at halftime at home. Went 4 mins.+ without a point, has no 3-pointers.

Maybe, just maybe all the injuries with 3 projected starters out: nobody including Jim Foster would be 5-0. If we ever get a full complement of healthy players this staff will get us up there. So keep the faith: down 2 with one half to go and a new team.Go Vandy! wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 2:45 pm I know all of you* out there think i'm unnecessarily harsh on this team. Poor play, shots not falling and zero efforts on the boards. And, too many substitutions this game. I guess I shouldn’t have penciled in a win today…. Very disappointing game.

Ice cold from outside and horribly outrebounded: they were hot and we lose by 7 - need to learn from this. St. Joes is undefeatedvsnd we get our first loss. First time we have lost to them (5-1).

Sorry, my friend, but I must correct your statement….we are 3-2 in our 5 meetings against St Joe’s.charlestonalum wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 3:53 pm Ice cold from outside and horribly outrebounded: they were hot and we lose by 7 - need to learn from this. No press conference? I’d like to hear Coach Sheas thoughts on the game.
Also, the upcoming trip to Cancun is going to be challenging. NC State will be hungry for a win coming off a loss to UCONN. I watched a bit of Northern Iowa play the other night against Iowa State and it was a close game. Hopefully these few days off will help them get prepared?!?
Go Dores!

Sadly, there was probably no one for her to talk to. The Nashville media is not covering the team, and, with the students on break, the reporter for the student paper who has been doing the postgame interviews with coach has probably gone home for Thanksgiving.VandyDan78 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 7:55 am No press conference? I can tell you what Ashley Earley said on the radio postgame: "We got out-toughed." She went on to point out how getting out-rebounded by 17 and giving up 15 offensive rebounds is not a formula for success.

Thank you. It is sad that we don’t have someone dedicated to covering Vandy sports. Pitiful.MikeADore wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 10:29 amSadly, there was probably no one for her to talk to.
