At a massive summer tournament like last weekend’s Run for the Roses in Louisville, it’s hard to find one player among all those stars who stands out. To the degree that is possible, Allie Ziebell (class of ’24) pulled it off. She plays for a U17 team out of Wisconsin that won the championship on ESPNU. She scored 30 in the championship game and received lots of accolades for her play. It’s not like she was an unknown coming into the tournament. She’s ranked #9 on ESPN Hoopgirlz and #20 on All-Star Girls Report (ASGR). But, she definitely raised her stock.
She seems to be a definite player of interest for Vandy with coach Ralph and Ashley Earley both following her on twitter. She follows both of them as well as coach Garrick. But, she follows a lot of programs and coaches and would appear to have the opportunity to play anywhere she wants. Not sure whether Vandy has made an offer. Below is my favorite assessment of her by ASGR writer Mike White. I choose to see it as fate:

Re: Allie Ziebell on the Rise
Zibell, a 5'11 guard presently ranked #5 on ESPN Hoopgurlz for class of '24, has committed to UConn. She has become one of the best pure scorers in the country. Still not sure if she had a Vandy offer, but it's safe to say the coaches were interested in her because every coach in the country would be ecstatic to have her.
