They went to Texas last night and beat the Longhorns 70-66 in overtime. The Jayhawks were playing their third game in five days after having a 16 day (three-game) layoff due to postponements. I watched the game, and it was legit. Close all the way with Kansas having a slight advantage most of the night. Texas bombed a three-pointer at the buzzer to send it to OT. Kansas just came out and took care of business in the extra period. They're now 12-2 (2-1). It was their first win over a ranked team since 2018.
Considering the state of our program when coach Ralph arrived in April, I find I have a soft spot for other programs that are down or have been down for a while. Kansas has been dragging around the bottom of the Big 12 for years. I'm getting vicarious thrills watching them rise.
About That Kansas Loss....
