The loss on signing day of Ka'Morreun Pimpton really hurt... he had been committed to Vandy for about five months before LSU flipped him. Vandy had him penciled in as a tight end for next season (Bresnahan, Schoenwald and DeCoursey are all gone) and had no time to replace him at that spot.
An offer went out this week to another 2023 tight end... Josh Palmer, a 6-5 215-pounder from Prattville, Ala. In other words, pretty much the same build as Pimpton. He's got 20 or so offers already, but Vandy is the first one from the SEC. Can Vandy get any traction a week out from late signing day? Here's some film, see what you think...

Pretty good film. Prattville is usually a strong program, just north of Montgomery.
Didn't former VU QB Larry Smith come from Prattville?

Re: A Pimpton replacement?
We can't rely on a freshman to start!!! Be great to find an experienced one in the portal...
